Centers

Addressing the desires, needs and interests of each segment of the employee population is critical to our company's success. In the creation of "Centers" we are able to support each department's training focus. All of our courses will be aligned to the Center that they best support.

Center for Leadership Excellence (le)

The CLE is focused on developing the leadership abilities and attitudes of individuals at ABB OPTICAL GROUP. The CLE provides formalized programs for developing leadership competencies and leadership effectiveness. Achieving such development takes focus, practice and persistence.

At the CLE we are committed to:

  • Providing courses that create a foundation for first time leaders. (Level 1: People + Process)
  • Encouraging professional growth for those who are current leaders of others. (Level 2)
  • Create innovative "learning events" for senior management. (Level 2)

Center for Professional Excellence (pe)

The CPE is focused on refining the skills and knowledge for all levels of employees at ABB OPTICAL GROUP for both personal development and career advancement. This Center encompasses all types of facilitated learning opportunities, ranging from:

  • Instructor Leading Training classes / Computer Based Training courses
  • College degrees or courses
  • Conferences / Seminars
  • Informal learning opportunities situated in on the job training experiences

A wide variety of employees may engage in professional development. Individuals may participate in professional development because of an interest in lifelong learning, to maintain and improve professional competencies, to enhance career progression, to keep abreast of new technology and practices, or to comply with professional regulatory organizations. Whatever the reason, the CPE wants to capture and excite everyone.

At the CPE we are committed to:

  • Provide courses that create a foundation appropriate for appropriate employee behavior and performance.
  • Use online forums and platforms to encourage networking and job sharing.
  • Partner with higher learning institutions for degree related programs.

Center for Sales Excellence (se)

The CSE develops customized and comprehensive sales training and preformance improvement solutions for the team of sales professionals. We partner with the Sales Force of ABB OPTICAL GROUP to integrate the company's business strategy, sales challenges and overall vision to improve sales skills, increase performance, and drive results.

At the CSE we are committed to:

  • Focus on the Client centered service model for consultancy that drives closing sales.
  • Create application drive learning experiences that strengthen the core competencies of a successful sales force.
  • Develop custom web-based applications for sales professionals of ALL kinds when the typical out-of-the-box class just isn't enough.

Center for Customer Service Excellence (cse)

The CCSE handles order entries and resolves all other customer related matters. Customer Service makes customer satisfaction their top priority, addressing all customer issues effectively and efficiently before, during and after a purchase. Constantly evolving to add value to ABB OPTICAL GROUP, its employees and its customers, Customer Service continues to improve itself everyday.

Center for Corporate Learning Excellence (cle)

The CCLE provides the Employees of Finance/Accounting, Human Resources, Marketing and Information Technology Departments the resources they need to be successful. We will assist an employee and managers of these areas in clarifying and addressing immediate concerns and education or certification needs within their field. The CCLE will process all continuing education or team request and validate business connections.

At the CCLE we are committed to:

  • Provide courses that target the core competencies of the Finance/Accounting, Human Resources, Marketing and Information Technology Departments.
  • Offer learning experiences that encourage the corporate employees to act as business partners to the success of every department that they serve.
  • Use learning opportunities to enhance understanding and exposure to other business units.

Center for Operations Excellence (oe)

The COE is dedicated to design and improve the Distribution Center facilities and operations of ABB OPTICAL GROUP through education. We will work to assist the Distribution Centers in achieving world-class customer service at a least cost operating position for the business. Our desire is to help the team members of the Distribution Centers understand that the efficient processing of a Distribution Center can greatly impact the final product of product as it is delivered to the end user, the patient. The COE wants to partner with the Operations Department to be seen as "Best in the eyes of..." all customer who come in contact with the service.

At the COE we are committed to:

  • Provide courses that support the Third Party Logistics (3PL) business direction.
  • Offer a learning program that engages the principles of process improvement.
  • Focus on the need for collaboration and cooperation within the team environment.

PEN Academy (pa)

Pen Academy is positioned to service the eyecare providers (ECPs) who may be users of ABB OPTICAL GROUP services and products. We will partner with Primary Eyecare Network (PEN) to enhance their current course deliverables and services that they offer ECP's. PEN is committed to enhancing the independent ECP's ability to compete in a rapidly changing eyecare marketplace. This includes:

  • Providing favorable purchase arrangements.
  • Business management and marketing support.
  • Quality educational programs for practionaers and staff.
  • Electronic medicare billing services.
  • Other support as requested by members./li>

We are committed to creating a centralized location for participant registration, e-Commerce services, and distance learning forums.
