Our Custom Soft Lens Manufacturing Department started out in 1976 as Ocu-Ease and was brought under the ABB Optical Group umbrella in November of 2010.  As Ocu-Ease, the company applied for and received a PMA approval and nine 510k approvals from the FDA.  Under ABB Optical Group we received an additional 510k approval for the manufacturing of custom soft lenses using a Silicone Hydrogel material.

We currently manufacture soft contact lenses using the following HEMA based materials; Polymacon 38%, Hioxifilcon B 49% and Methafilcon A 55%.  As mentioned we also have the Silicone Hydrogel material Efrofilcon A 74%.  The percentage listed with each material is the water content of the lens when hydrated.

In April 2012 we launched the Definitive 74% line of contact lens products using the Silicone Hydrogel material.  In October 2012 we launched the KeraSoft lens which is a soft lens for Keratoconus patients using the Silicone Hydrogel material (74%).

The accumulative years of experience in our Custom Soft Lens Lab is over 175 and the products we manufacture include Spherical, Prism Toric, Keratoconus, Aphakic, Pediatric, Thin Zone Toric, Multifocal, Toric Multifocal and Tinted soft contact lenses.
