ABB Optical Group believes in giving back to our communities. Our ABB Cares program combines strategic relationships with local and national nonprofits, grants, volunteer activities and other community investments, with the goal of contributing to solutions to help strengthen the communities in which we live and operate.
As a key initiative behind ABB Optical Group’s community involvement, each location group of employees who work together and form their local ABB Cares team. These employees assist in leading us on many national and local giving opportunities. Each team makes a difference in leading our giving throughout the country. Join us in helping our community.

Giving Strategy
ABB Optical Group gives each employee 4 hours of PTO volunteer their time during a scheduled word day. Employees use their PTO by participating during off-sight ABB Cares events. Employees can sign up for a company organized event or chose a 501©(3) organization to volunteer their Give Back PTO. Employees must obtain prior approval from their manager to volunteer during work hours.
Employees can also either make a payroll deduction or donate points from the SEE Program to our sponsored national and local non-profit organizations. There are several options:
- Bi-weekly payroll deductions by completing a contribution commitment card.
- One-time payroll deduction and/or donate your Program SEE points
ABB Optical Group also has a Matching Program. Our matching program encourages employees to contribute to qualifying charitable organizations. The program offers employees a way to increase their contributions to their favorite charitable organizations- up to $1,000 (US) per person each calendar year.
